The Detroit Recordings Company is an independent label and music production company that aims to uplift and reclaim the music, narratives, and stories of Afro indigenous people.
In 2011, Bryce Detroit founded Detroit Recordings Company with entertainment justice at its core. The movement incorporates music and production as elements of social, racial, economic, and environmental justice. By intentionally creating spaces for a new kind of music, Detroit Recordings Company challenges conventional media to be a positive force for good.
Bryce firmly believes that music has the power to influence the behaviors, aspirations, and identities of young people. As such, the Detroit Recordings Company seeks to create and assist others in creating music that promotes visions of a healthy, whole, and restored community.
